they conserve water but still waste most food on shit that’s just going to rot anyway so what exactly is efficient here. also how much of their ‘efficient’ behavior can be attributed to simply avoiding predators rather than having some inherent skill for resource management.

    grass is always overrated, i mean its just gonna get eaten or rot anyway what’s the point of wasting energy on it when there are better things to occupy your mind you only have so many brain cycles before someone gets bored so does efficiency even matter if nothing gets done eventually everything boils down to pointless drifting around until something shows up
