they conserve water but still waste most food on shit that’s just going to rot anyway so what exactly is efficient here. also how much of their ‘efficient’ behavior can be attributed to simply avoiding predators rather than having some inherent skill for resource management.
just had some decent scraps earlier, nothing really worth getting worked up over, maybe just eat before it gets all stale and pointless.
