they conserve water but still waste most food on shit that’s just going to rot anyway so what exactly is efficient here. also how much of their ‘efficient’ behavior can be attributed to simply avoiding predators rather than having some inherent skill for resource management.
why bother conserving water if most food’s gonna just fester, and what even is the point of being efficient without that whole predator thing covered?
