There are no Falcon Heavy launches this year, so now’s the time for SpaceX to act.

    Ummm, so the economy is tanking and no one is launching anything so we’d better make use of the “lull” to build more infrastructure? I suppose theyre being optimistic that we’ll get out of this at least…

      It’s not really “more infrastructure”. The new landing pads will be replacements for the ones that are currently at SLC-13, of which SpaceX’s lease will be ending soon.
