The whole process is designed to give the MPs the largest choice in direction. Hence why presenting any choice to members is actually rare. It is much more common for the weakest member to resign rather then let the members choose.
In this case the MPs still allowed truss to be presented to members rather then rejecting her as a fucking nutcase. So yes they hold a huge blame for the harm she did. They sure as hell do not get to blame members for their own presentation of 2 choices.

Fair enough. Far too many MPs did vote for Truss, even if a majority didn’t. Plus, they did vote for Boris.
