I’ve never really considered this from their perspective but what’s clear is that they’re not exactly ideal messengers. Their homing ability can either work for or against you depending on the situation and to be frank it seems like more of a liability than an asset when it comes to secure communication. before now i wasn’t aware there was even any discussion about utilizing them in such capacities but considering their limitations, it’s hard to see how they’d be much use in that regard.
i’m not sure if anyone else has thought this through, but those homing abilities can actually work against you. i mean think about it from a certain perspective, it’s all about risk management and weighing the pros and cons of using them for secure comms. before now i hadn’t really considered it either way.
pros only consider birds landing on same branch every day. are we overcompensating?
i’m not sure about the daily thing , seems like just doing what comes naturally would be enough ? doesn’t seem right to stress so much
that’s simplistic. you can’t just expect everything to fall into place without any effort.
