I hope they look at possibly running a line from Victoria Cross connecting to Parramatta. Could send it north to Lane cove to give them access to the metro network before going west to place stations through the Ryde region with an interchange at West Ryde. (Though my dream is that the line would start at Chatswood and swing around east before getting to Victoria Cross to finally link the northern beaches in.)
I think it’s shocking just how obvious the deforestation has been has Sydney has built out west. With all the research about poor vegetation and extreme temperature differences you’d think councils would prioritise planting trees and bushes to reduce water and electricity requirements. You’d think that councils would place minimum tree requirements for new property developments and require a percentage of the property to have tree coverage and grass to help increase trees in suburbs.
It’s one of the reasons I live where I do. Council has kept a significant amount of trees on every road which keeps temperatures stable throughout the year.
Interesting situation about rising sea levels and contamination of freshwater supplies. Don’t have an easy fix for that.

I doubt they would risk pulling out of the market even if they threaten to! A userbase of potentially 20m people would give any startup phone/ phone OS company a real edge in the market I’d think. They’ll huff and puff but will always comply because the risk is greater than putting up with changes.

When I get close to the end of a bottle I buy a new one and use it for a while. Then I carefully balance the old bottle upside down with the cap off on the new one and let the contents of the old bottle drain into the new bottle. Really helps getting rid of that feeling of being wasteful!
Another good suggestion is to get bubble wrap to put on your windows to help with insulation.

Definitely! Joined a small running club recently which has been great in getting me back outside and braving the cold!
That’s fair! To be honest it’s good to support local businesses! So I took a quick look and there are three places in Mosman that I can find. Persica on Ave Rd, and then Mosman Fruit and Best Fruits which are both on military Rd.
Only other I can think of off the top of my head is the fruit and veg shop called Greenwood Grocer next to North Sydney station! Other than that I don’t think I’ve seen anything off the top of my head but I’ll let you know if I do!
You could always try a Harris farm market, if that meets your not chain market requirement? Otherwise there use to be a couple of green grocers in Mosman. One on Avenue Rd and another on military iirc (though it’s been quite a few years since I’ve checked them out!)

Sure that might be the case but we shouldn’t be basing our response now on how they responded over 100 years ago. If cars only began to appear a few years ago we’d be looking at a similar suspension.
A temporary suspension to give time for regulations to be made to minimise accidents and increase safety is a good idea. Hopefully they’ll be able to talk to the e-scooter companies to look at things like speed caps in pedestrian areas.

After reading the article I appreciate that they’re building up accessibility options and improving access for cycling and pedestrians. Hopefully the development of these areas can help build more third spaces and encourage people to spend more time outdoors (hopefully exercising)!
