

When parents no longer serve as role models, stepping into parenthood yourself becomes an act of improvisation.
I don’t know about Poland, but in my American experience that’s actually better. Older generations bullied and beat their children, and believed that was good child-rearing - the legacy of which lives on in today’s political right-wing’s collection of bullies and their sycophants.












Yeah, that one hit me, too, but I don’t see it as similar. I think it was very spot-on considering the insane rate of change prevalent today. In my roughly five decades of life, I’ve watched things go from a relatively leisurely pace to what we have today where learned skills are frequently outdated within just a few years. It’s felt much like watching a boulder grow and accelerate ever faster as it rolls downhill, demolishing everyone & everything in its way.
