Their industrial manufacturing capability is completely ramped up and they are running a war economy.

Only reason they are able to go on this long is because they are rapidly replenishing their man and material resources.

Don’t just complain about paywalls. If you encounter one, be a sport and link to an archived version instead. Use Firefox + uBlock Origin with the annoyances filters enabled and https://filterlists.com/lists/bypass-paywalls-clean-filter to avoid encountering many in the first place.
