I finished my first drawing too soon so I decided to do a second one that was more technical. I didn’t know beforehand that there wasn’t a solid reference for starfish anatomy and I had to consult 15 different sources to get all the parts.

This is great - also, now there is a solid reference for starfish anatomy :)
I also found out yesterday there is no standard style guide for biological illustration. I wasn’t expecting like an ANSI specification but I thought there would be some set of best practices for label size based on nested cutaways or something. Nothing.
That’s the second hole on the internet I’ve found in about a week.
