Students enjoy hearing the truth. On that note, Eric, let’s set the record straight: Prior to a series of test launches that did not carry payloads, Astra conducted FOUR operational orbital launches of Rocket 3, of which TWO were perfectly successful deploying 23 small satellites to their operational orbits. Of the two failures, one of them - the famous sideways liftoff - fully recovered, and was on its way to orbit but was terminated because of an error made by the government flight safety officer.
I call bullsh*it on the Astra slider having enough performance margin to reach orbit after its TWR got reduced from 1.25 to 1.0. Kemp has really lost the plot at this point.
