An hour and a half in, dude is 50s clear of the rest of the field. What a mad lad.

NLS isn’t a high level racing series, at least not among GT3 series. The N24h is a round of Intercontinental GT Challenge. There it’ll be more of a challenge next year.

Nice to see that they list the actual current place of residence for each driver instead of the self-chosen license originator.
Qualifying results:
- #34 Christian Krognes (Walkenhorst Motorsport, Aston Martin Vantage GT3)
- #6 Frank Stippler (Haupt Racing Team, Ford Mustang GT3)
- #31 Max Verstappen (EMIL FREY RACING, Ferrari 296 GT3)
Provisional pole:
Time set on wets.
Conditions will probably improve to switch to slicks near the end on qualifying. Frank Stippler is the first driver who moved to cut slicks, so slick tires with grooves cut into the tires.
Qualifying delayed to 9:00 because of fog.
Verstappen is currently doing an exploration lap on wets.

If I correctly understood the whole permit situation, this time his car won’t be power-limited, right?
Yes, fighting for the overall win in the Sp9 category which is the one for GT3 cars. No idea how good Verstappen’s sim racing buddy Christopher Lulham is because the two are sharing the car. Probably not a stretch to think that of the two Lulham is the weak link.
