What is up with u/dwazoup which is undoubtedly the same as what was u/davriellelouna, and seems to be the same as what was u/davriel?

That last account was around for a few hours on Sunday the 7th, until i asked whats up with the username change, within minutes the u/davriel account had been deleted. It was like 9 minutes after that comment.

These accounts have been shutdown/deleted and subsequently launched in the last day, but back to the samr patter of spammy behaviour, relying largely on large media outlets. (Although, i will say this time theres some more obacure content, like a random picture of a festival goer.)

So whats up with this? Is this an actual person’s account with some sort of script attached to post from a list of media outlets? The number of posts from this account is huge.

Is it some kind of AI generator? Because i have seen comments, that seem rational although a little hypocritical.

And finally, why does it/they keep deleting accounts and restrlarting them? Its not exactly hard to spot their new username.

    That account is dominating my mostly meme free Hot front page

    Haven’t really noticed any particular bias/push of specific topics. Yet.

    I’ve decided I’m happy to give everyone, including AI and bots, the benefit of the doubt.

    When they reach superintelligence, I won’t notice anyways.

    Hello, non Aussie-zone user, hope it’s okay.

    My personal theory is that the new account was created to avoid the bans issued against the first account.

      Hey Blaze! :)

      Didn’t realise the account had been banned places, seemed to be everywhere for a while. Maybe if it is somebody fiddling about with a bot they step off the gas a bit with their posting schedule. Feels like an avalanche of irrelevance at times with all the seemingly aimless, and low substance posts.

      I’m all for boosting activity on Lemmy, but activity for activity’s sake risks a slop-like situation.

      It also quickly buries posts that may be more engaging quicker than is necessarily necessary. A slower social media doesn’t mean a bad social media after all.

          Just noticed this new account myself! Bad week for dav! Accout after account, tututut…

          Yeah its too much, never know, maybe this new account has been improved, but i’d rather not interact with a bot all the time.

          Interestingly there were a few comments last week from the u/davriellelouna account. I’d started to hope the person behind it had decided to engage in a more meaningful way, but no go.

      Do you know if anyone’s tried to contact the person running all those accounts? Their Lemmy accounts would be flooded with post replies so I doubt the owner even looks at them. I don’t have a microblog account so let’s see if this ping works:

          Whether or not you meant it, your post is quite poetic. A tragedy in two lines, or perhaps a koan, the irony of their true inactivity screaming out to them in vain.
