Instead I would use this as evidence to focus messaging toward Millennials, Gen Z, and Alpha. We don’t need to succumb to their “fuck you, got mine” mentality, but without drastic change we’ll just keep making it worse for each subsequent generation.
Resistance is futile.

Can I get the source on that? Feels right, but I want to be able to reference it.

tootoughtoremember@lemmy.worldto Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Tulsi Gabbard calls for Obama to be prosecuted over 2016 election claimsEnglish11·2 months agoReally? Is that a sentiment American liberals really hold? Do you mean from Democrat politicians or from the general populace?
For the former, I think they’ve more than demonstrated their inability to hold anyone to account. From Biden nominating Obama’s milquetoast, consensus Supreme Court pick to Attorney General, who proceeded to seemly slow walk Donald Trump’s multiple federal prosecutions just long enough to make them all irrelevant and eventually dropped. To the current Congressional Democratic leadership who seem to think leadership is just empty gestures and who appear to have learned nothing from dealing with Republican obstructionism, when the shoe was on the other foot.
After the last six month though, I do have faith in Trump ability to exact revenge on this enemies and to get away with things previously considered to be an egregious overreach or illegal.

This is already how the site appears for me. It’s stories like these that remind me that the NSFW content is there.

That’s a crazy assertion. What’s the implication, Canada should have more actively participated in chattel slavery, had it’s own emancipation proclamation and civil war, and then introduced birthright citizenship in order to have ‘real’ Black Canadians?

If you could own a home, afford groceries, raise a family, save for retirement, and take a modest family vacation, there would be lines out door applying for these jobs.
But these aren’t the factory jobs of the 1950s, those kind of wages aren’t coming back.

tootoughtoremember@lemmy.worldto Videos@lemmy.world•FIGHT THE OLIGARCHY WITH BERNIE AND AOC: LOS ANGELES3·6 months agoThis site says about 80% of his viewers are logged-in Twitch users for this stream. Which is about the same as it was for his stream from yesterday.
As I understand it, it’s not that 20% are definitely bots or that 80% are definitely “real” viewers, but that there’s a greater likelihood of non-logged-in viewers could be bots. I believe if you watch Twitch from an embedded video on another site then you’d be included in the non-logged-in view count.
I believe you’re talking about the CIA backed coup in 1953.
This picture would have been taken during the period where Iran was ruled by the Western puppet Shah.
But the point still stands, tough to imagine the Iranian Revolution of 1979 if there had never been a Western coup and over 25 years of effectively Western rule.
