The /efi directory is owned by root. So you either need to use sudo with dracut, or if you’re brave, change your destination folder permissions. Pacman and yay run with sudo privileges, so they will be permitted to write to /efi and its subdirectories.

Perfect summation. Most of our presidents (Maybe excluding Bush Jr) were eloquent speakers, with good writers helping them along. Maybe speaking over the heads, at times, of our under-educated citizens. Perhaps this is the reason our current “leader” resonates so well with some of our country’s population.
