The swiping is miles behind gboard right now. Takes me forever to type using it because I have to go back and correct or swipe far more precisely than I had to with gboard.

What I’ve found is that what works bet for your preferences and build is best. When I had an Nvidia card, Pop!_OS worked best for stable performance. I’m not a fan of Gnome though and it got me to upgrade to an AMD card and I’ve moved to Bazzite with no regrets.

I tried a pair of the Duluth Buck Naked with the bullpen and the seam started coming apart in the ball pouch after one wash. My regular Buck nakeds last 5 years or more until the elastic starts giving out. That’s far longer than any other kind I’ve found.

That’s totally legit. I prefer having my primary machine immutable so I can’t break things. I have a mini PC that’s my tinker platform. I have kubuntu on there now but may have to give PikaOS a try.

I’m an old fart, so I don’t want to play any games with kernel level anti-cheat. I’ve yet to encounter a game that doesn’t work in Linux.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle had some AMD driver issues early on, but I was able to tinker a short term fix until they fixed it. MachineGames’ engine has always been wonky on release.

Kobo Libre 2. I replaced an ancient backlit Kindle when it died and wouldn’t give Jeff Bezos any more money. The only gripe I have is that the dark mode toggle is one level deep in the menus and not on the main screen.

I have a first gen Define XL that’s probably closing in on 15 years old. Still going strong as my primary desktop case. The only problem I’ve had is little cheap plastic connectors to attach the feet to the case broke. I know they’ve fixed the design for recent versions but I can’t justify the cost when the rest still works fine.
