Lest Android users (like myself) think we’re immune, Google has been known to nuke accounts too, leading to a similar outcome.
I’ve been trying my best to get out of a “one account for all” mentality - photo backups are probably the #1 problem for me right now.
I’ve got the local storage, but I’m not sure about exposing immich to the Internet for photos access when I’m not at home.

I could go on about how AI hallucinating in medical notes taken by copilot could lead to improper prescriptions, or how AI hallucinating could do things like tell people to put glue on pizza.
I mean, I guess some outcomes are just injury not death so…


They tend to be fairly sexually explicit - think fanfic levels.

Does anyone know if Fairphone supports tap-to-pay options? I tried GrapheneOS and although most of it was fine, the inability to use Google wallet for tap to pay was a deal-breaker.
My local credit Union doesn’t have an app that supports NFC, and since I’m based in the US, my options are relatively limited.
Oh, and I don’t want to buy a smartwatch just so I can put Google wallet on that instead.

This is maybe controversial, but I love the Ubiquiti security stuff. Cameras (interior and exterior) doorbells, etc, it’s all great. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.
And the data can stay local or be accessible via their services.
I chose to go local only, grabbed their UNVR and populated it with 4x 2TB drives and it has enough space to handle 7 cameras HD history for about a month.
You can try chucking smelly treats near it. Don’t make eye contact and try to be small - sit or crouch with your body facing away from the dog. Bundle up because it could take a while.
