  • Yup. As someone who’s worked a lot on ships all over the world, I can tell you that waves can be deceiving. It can look like everything is normal, but suddenly the ships roll and pitch will perfectly time a slightly larger swell which then gets to wash in over deck.

It is worth noting that the ships themselves have no problem handling this. They’re designed so that any water that washes over the deck gets drained out and doesn’t go into the interior. Whoever is on those decks is another story though. Just because your feet are dry, don’t assume they will remain so.

I just want to start this sentence with saying that I know literally nothing about Captain America, but I’m willing to bet that Captain America would be a much better choice. Maybe not the current reincarnation, as most movie studios have realized that not everyone is pro establishment. But maybe Captain America of a few decades ago.

The sequels aren’t bad because they’re woke (are they woke, though?), they’re bad because they’re bad.

For example, I think Daisy Ridley played the part very well, and the character fit in the overarching universe. But the plot was awful and predictable.

    And somehow Palpatine returned.

EDIT/ADDITION for emphasis: I loved the acting. Especially Finn. I didn’t find Kylo Ren to be a believable character, but Adam Driver did a great job regardless. Everyone did a great job with Ep VII, except the writers and Disney execs.
