Why is it that when I type my own name into my own company search engine, the fucking Internet rains shit‑bolts down on me? I want this to stop!

“Some act as traffic brokers for data harvesting firms, others are so poorly built they expose users to attacks.”
He told the BBC despite posing a range of potential privacy risks, such apps “end up in the hands of kids trying to watch age-restricted content”, or adults “trying to get round blocks”.
Ah yes, there it is: won’t anyone think of the children. I expected that argument higher up in the article.

Glory to Arstotzka.
Or be sad you weren’t born 10.000 years earlier with a 15 hour work week.

They’re designed to guide humans, but we’ve left out the foundation of our existence, which is nature, clean air, pure water, rich soil, food, and sunlight. That’s the foundation of the way we live and, when we construct legal, economic and political systems, they have to be built around protecting those very things, but they’re not.
Powerful truth!

Sure there is hope! Admitting you have a problem is the first step in tackling that problem!
Welcome to the club 😀

But then I remember this is a country that had gone through a civil war, numerous scandals, a great depression and dust bowl, two world wars,English29·4 months agoI don’t think this is only true for your nation. I mean, I’m from Belgium, not only did this nation massacre a lot of people in the Congo, it also provided the uranium for the Manhattan Project and the ensuing Little Boy dropped on Hiroshima.
It’s not (per se) nations that get the worst out of us, it’s the power structures controlling such nations.

It’s indeed becoming increasingly clear how the board is pressuring the journalists. Same with the Iran retaliation, suddenly all these news items about how unsafe the Israeli feel, where they go to hide, what they think of the bombings. Not one similar interview was done in Gaza.
Collaborating cowards manufacturing consent.

P.S. my favorite Belgian chocolate brand is owned by Mondelez, so I’m not too sure how relevant our country is/will be in international chocolate circles. 😀

I have a faint feeling Betteridge’s law of headlines does not apply here.
