Well written, interesting article. Sometimes it’s hard to see the work going on in the background, even if we don’t agree with how they’re going about it. It sounds like it all comes down to an accountability issue, how is oil and gas being held accountable for their empty promises (which we’ve made deal based on before and lost). It’s notable how all our other industries have reduced emissions while oil and gas shave increased, and passed those profits back to shareholders in the states.
Ice cream was created and perpetuated by Big Cold to sell more refrigerators.
Same with after college to the workplace, no one cares about your grades. Although this worked in my favor because I did terribly in college.
I felt very confused and had to educate myself. I got juggalo confused with gigalo and thought insane clown posse was those groups from a few years back that the news said was terrorizing neighbourhoods. I had no idea about the hip hop group or their casual and very dedicated fans!

The groundwork for Hitler’s dictatorship was laid when the Reichstag was set on fire in February 1933. Baselessly blaming communists for the arson, Hitler convinced von Hindenburg to pass the Reichstag Fire Decree, which severely curtailed the liberties and rights of German citizens as Hitler began eliminating his political opponents. Following its passage, he began arguing for more drastic means to curtail political opposition, and proposed the Enabling Act of 1933. This law gave the German government the power to override individual rights prescribed by the constitution, and vested the Chancellor (Hitler) with emergency powers to pass and enforce laws without parliamentary oversight.

Better yet, if the nonprofit’s latest technological ideas come to fruition, Slat suggests we could even clear the patch in just five years at a cost of just $4 billion.
Ultimately though it comes down to funding, and I’m not sure this is the administration with the stomach to fund these types of projects.

A bit worried about the pup here, I want the humans to pick them up and put in vehicle.
I wonder if the Russian national part was tricky, saying you can discriminate based on fit feels like it could tip toe into discriminating based on whether or not you’re a non immigrant.
Kalina, who said she was a Russian national, argued that she was discriminated against because she was restrained and did not swear and did not like going to the pub – habits she saw as typically British.
I don’t think anyone thinks of Carney as actually left wing. He’s a banker.
I grew sunflowers for the first time this year and was absolutely tickled pink to see how sunflower seeds sit in the plant.
I’m ADHD with an autistic partner and it’s g l o r i o u s. He builds and maintains the structure and lets me kind of exist in and around and through and outside of it as needed.

If anyone is wondering…
Hundreds of thousands of people worldwide are living with takotsubo cardiomyopathy, known as broken heart syndrome, which causes the heart muscle to change shape and suddenly weaken. It is usually triggered by severe emotional or physical stress, such as losing a loved one.
Yes! Except I thought it was an artists conception of a fantasy underwater world breaching the surface.
Yes, thank you! I wish I could upvote you twice. It’s immediately what I thought of, especially some of the methods governments can use to shift inflation numbers. Great episode, would recommend people listen given its relevance.
Nailed it again, Onion.
