

To me, better than Inherent Vice (although I don’t remember that movie quite as much). Very different tonally than There Will Be Blood so a bit hard for me to compare but I think One Battle After Another is one of his best. Tonally I guess more like Inherent Vice ha well I guess they’re both Pynchon novels. PTA is very unique to me but I can’t articulate like style or trademark things about him. I think he’s just so good at his craft and bold in unexpected ways.
I did. Honestly I couldn’t really tell if it stood out. I saw Sinners in 70mm and that looked so impressive to me. For some reason this was just really well made but the film format didn’t stick out to me.
