This is quite a take.
The weather, constant UV exposure, car fumes and tire particles, people shouting abuse and throwing shit sounds like awesome self-employment. Remember, if you look at all comfortable you don’t fit the narrative.
That isn’t even worth $40 an hour and I seriously doubt that figure, people don’t even like making eye contact with folks standing on roadsides and they don’t carry cash.

It’s not bad on the kids part, ofc, but as a former little girl married to a woman, I’m sad that I had to face a lot of deep seated feelings that I was somehow ‘doing marriage wrong’. It would be great if kids just…got to figure themselves out.
Addendum - it’s also weird to have little kids fantasizing about marriage, or their perfect adult spouse, could not agree more. Stop projecting onto kids.

I went through the same arc- it lead to binge drinking and getting my wife to drink with me, too.
I quit in Dec '22, and I wake up feeling free from booze everyday, seriously. Every day I open my eyes and don’t have that nasty sweet taste on my tongue, or that dry eye & mouth feeling, I am relieved!
Now I’m 60lbs lighter (I DRANK drank), I exercise before work because it turns out I’m a morning person (!?), most of my health issues have resolved, and I’m not throwing away money on poison.

I have one, it’s just like the sprayer thing for doing dishes on many kitchen sinks except attached to the refill hose for the toilet. You just aim and spray, it’s fantastic and easy to clean cause it’s not actually inside the toilet bowl
I don’t eat American white bread either, most other Americans I know eat sourdough or ‘actual’ bread, not that weird loaf of angel food cake they call bread here lol

Kings Island is pretty fantastic, it’s been years but I always loved it.
Cincinnati is great to visit, lots of great museums and sights, but it’s depressing as hell to live there imo. It’s in an industrialized valley so it’s very sooty and dirty, it’s not walkable, and there’s little social service wise so the poorest are fucking POOR there. Like, there is no scrap in empty lots because anything worth 5¢ has been sold.
I’m sad it’s not better, I spent a decade there and grew up in the outskirts.
I moved away from Cincinnati in September and I don’t miss it lmao

I cannot recommend basic yoga enough for wonky balance.
I have terrible proprioception, i run into corners and bump my shoulders constantly (even though im a smallish person and it makes no sense). Yoga made it easier to close my eyes in the shower, catch my balance, not sprain my joints, so much within a few months from like, 20 min twice a week. Free youtube videos. I’ve saved myself from serious injury more than once.
I love the cargo short + muscle tank look.
Those long sleeve UV shirts can be worn loose and comfy, and they breathe well.
Cut off everything is pretty awesome imo too, but I lean pretty thrift store punk.
I was raised a dairy milk fiend and oat milk is definitely my go to.
