Log off, go for a bike ride.
I used to cross the Manhattan Bridge in NYC on my commute, sometimes the Q or D train would emerge out of the tunnel onto the bridge just as I was coming up the bike ramp and it was a really fun challenge to try racing it up to the apex. If you can manage to pace it on the uphill, you’ll always pass it on the downhill, and then come ripping off the bridge at near 30 mph.
Better invade Portland, I guess.
Many of these people literally, honestly believe they’re building Roko’s basilisk.

Motornormativity is a manifestation of classism.
I discovered that Helldivers 1 ran fine on Linux despite having an anti-cheat, because when the anti-cheat fails to launch the game just says “fuck it” and runs anyway. Though other games like PUBG refuse to run when their anti-cheat fails. I love PUBG but not so much that I’m willing to let some shady publisher from the other side of the world run unknown and unrestricted code at the lowest level of my home computer just to play it. That will never be a worthwhile trade.
Everyone will have a different experience based on their hardware, distro, and game preferences; But for me Linux has been a far less headache-inducing gaming platform than Windows literally for years at this point.
Ironically, from what I understand (haven’t done direct comparisons myself), a lot of games written for windows run just as well or better on linux.
Yes, Wine/Proton translates DirectX calls to Vulkan calls, and Vulkan is so efficient that native Windows games sometimes run better on Linux than they do on Windows.
Not as bad as when a small woman crosses the road to end up walking right in front of me and then proceeds to be visibly uncomfortable at the fact that a large man is walking right behind her.
Even better, when I cross the road too as courtesy so that I’m not behind her, and she simultaneously crosses back across the road because she was uncomfortable, then notices I’m behind her again and thinks I’m following her.
I moved from a huge city to a smaller city, and sometimes I miss the huge city because nobody really gave a fuck who was near them on the sidewalk because there were always other people on the sidewalk. People perceive others so much harder here and while the social discomfort it causes me isn’t nearly as bad as the fear of assault that small woman might have, it still gets exhausting.
Prime time hosts should show some balls and spend a few weeks going after him, specifically.
Oh well that’s happening regardless.
This isn’t how you get me to have a kid. This is how you get me to dodge taxes.
I do not have a super-deep knowledge of nutrition but FWIW I take the vegan omega-3 supplements from Source Naturals, my yearly lipid panel comes back looking fine. I do not know if I need them and suspect that I do not, but I prefer to have the safety net there.
Sounds like anon is way over-thinking all of this and just needs to learn to accept themself.
Nah I clicked through and skimmed to confirm. I don’t think you’re dumb just the article.
Lol imagine if the guy who nailed Kirk with a single shot at 220m hated guns. This article is dumb.

Literally every full-CBD infrastructure project is complicated. And compared to things like highways, subway stations, anti-terror infrastructure, etc… Pedestrianization really is the low-hanging complicated fruit. Large cities have small armies of infrastructure professionals ready to tackle the complications if we only just let them. The hardest part of pedestrianization is protecting the political will to let them at it long enough to actually get it done.
