Immich is great. The iPhone app is not trustworthy with syncing photos and always freezes. It will get there eventually, if you have the patience for crashes on the iOS app. In fact, for the last week the app just hangs on open, which usually means I need to re-install the app and all that. I have a large library of over 60k photos/videos and an older phone, which doesn’t help. Despite these issues, it’s still great. Every other feature works flawlessly. I haven’t tried this new update but I am hopeful and glad they are pushing forward with cleaning up syncing!

My only devil’s advocate to this is that phone cameras are already very prevalent and this is only a minor issue in society atm. Fuck camera glasses, though.

Jeans on a walk outside? Your body, your choice. Dress how you’d like. What I am more curious about is what made them so anal about this rule? Did some guy show up in all denim and almost die of heatstroke. Or are they just controlling people? Kindof intense for somebody else’s pants, especially if the hikes are mild.

Solidarity was cool but 2 clicks and a picture that doesn’t amount in any significant action or real participation and is VERY ignorable by people above the line. News media will easily spin it into whatever narrative they want as well

Now I have a part-time job where I feel overqualified but it’s essentially the same price for me to be a stay-at-home dad most of the time with my new baby. So, I really hope that when she’s 5, I can have some semblance of challenge and purpose outside of fatherhood again. I am a video director so some sense of creating art for fun again would be nice, too.

Yes, you can. You can share an album and collaboratively each add to it or you can share the entire library and take photos directly out of theirs and add to a new album. So I believe you can accomplish what you want. Just tested it with my wife and I’s accounts.
