MediaTek or Qualcomm chips will be used probably, but to order cutting edge chips they’d need to order pretty high volumes to keep prices down, so the chip they order will probably be older. Though the Pixel 5 was one of my favorite phones, so if they can keep that level of speed on Android 16 then I’m all for it.

I’m hoping that the next gen Steam Deck gets a coprocessor that will allow it to use less power in sleep mode, and also download games and updates in the background while the screen is off or in sleep mode.

Most likely it will work with a VPN, yes. But having lived in America for so long, I never thought I would expect to have to use a VPN to access a website with content censored by our government.

For some reason I can’t edit my post, however I wanted to add that I attempted to post this to reddit under the /r/Android and /r/google subreddits, but Android is only mod approved posts, and the Google subreddit just straight up removed my post without even informing me.

7’s is improved significantly, it’s back to what a normal modem should be again. 8’s should be the same or better modem.

Do you use a screen protector? My 7’s has been significantly better than my 6’s

• When recording video, hold your phone between your pinky and index finger, with the rest of your fingers along the back of the phone, and your thumb to stabilize. Just be careful not to cover the microphone!
• As long as you’re standing still, use AF lock in darker environments; tap and hold on the point you want to focus until a lock appears and it will not automatically refocus
• Enable the grid from Android camera settings for more professional looking photos. 3x3 is the best way to get photos that are perfectly level, and at the same time allows you to implement the rule-of-thirds if you want
• There are telescoping tripods (such as this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09XHZ8F7F/) for around $20, with an included Bluetooth camera remote. The quality is surprisingly good and it’s great for family photos or outdoor photography.
• When taking vacation photos, stand further back and use the zoom lens when focusing on people to get a nice focal length. When getting both the background and the people in the frame, default to 1x or 2x lenses.
