There are some phones with pretty clever zoom systems. But they lay sideways and the vie angle gets reflected 90 degrees by asmall prism.

Regarding windows. Does NTFS support this? Like COW and other advanced stuff? Or am I doomed if the underlying FS is NTFS?

At work I have to use windows (11) and i always have the feeling file-related stuff (copying, moving, doing stuff in large git repos) takes a loong time compared to my own devices thst run linux with btrfs.

I really liked Tom Lehrer. We named our daughter partly because of one of his songs (which my grandmother loved and often talked about) - Alma. Fortunately Her and Tom’s Life have a little bit of overlap.

Yeah i din’t think of complete (=admin) access. Maybe that’s a good thing to keep to oneself. There could be an inheritor which would gain access if ypu would abandon the project.

But regarding lower level administration (blocking stuff, checking that rules are followed and all that - things that take up most of the time of an administrator working in social media) could ve delegated maybe? Similar to reddit moderators of subreddits. It would be nice to have transparancy of which moderator moderates which other communities.

Maybe you could think of a way of finding some people in real life that could be a promising candidate.

I think it would also be a good idea if you don’t shoulder everything alone … Single point of failure and all that. You could think about which tasks ypu could (partially) delegate to other people in order to have less workload.

It would make sense to setup a roadmap for ypu maybe? I don’t think it’s healthy to have administrating take up so much space that you cannot work another job.

That’s why there’s quant mechanics. The simulation can always invent invent thinga on the fly to reduce computational load. It’s like lazy execution when soneone’s looking i.e. me - let’s not kid ourselves: the simulation is only simulating my surroundings - of which all af you are part of. Yadda yadda, there’s only me.

I can only imagine. I think there’s few cities that have undergone such a transformation as has paris in the last 10 years. It’s lovely to see. But all the anger that people have felt from that is probably almost exclulively projected onto her. She’s the lonely reason for alll the hardships that the carbrained old people in Paris have to endure. That’s what they feel everyday.

I think she should have a Car-only-day before the election where everyone who switched to a bike is driving by car for the day. The resulting chaos would be a nice reminder for what the city has gained in lofe quality during the last decade.

It’s easy to get accustomed to improved circumstances like more bike travel. But people seldomly forget if something has negatively affected them - especially if it was caused in some remote way by her policies.

Die idee ist sicherlich auch, dass die von einem speziellen Schienenfahrzeug automatisiert verlegt, gereinigt und gewartet bzw getauscht werden können. Das ist schon recht clever wenn man mal ein bisschen mehr drüber nachdenkt.

Die müssen ja auch nur halbwegs geräumt sein. Solange sie nicht komplett schneebedeckt sind wärmen sie sich durch die sonneneinstrahlung auf unf schmelzen den rest des schnees weg. Das wird meistena auch im winter funktionieren außer es ist halt richtig krass kalt.

Das ist ein wichtiger Punkt.

Der Vergleich mit Deutschland ist da schon echt krass. In Berlin hat mit zum großen Teil den Stimmen der Außenbezirke die CDU gewonnen und sofort angefangen Radweg-Projekte zu stoppen, bzw sogar zurückzubauen. Diese Radwege waren aber fast nur in den Innenbereichen, do wo die CDU keine Mehrheit hatte. Das ist unglaublich Rücksichtslos. Denn solche Radwege werden (bei uns) typischerweise nicht auf stadtebene geplant, sondern auf Bezirksebene. Das sind eher so pilotprojekte, die aufgrund von lokalen Initiativen entstehen. Die baut die CDU wieder ab mit der begründung, dass irgednwelche Außenbezirkler dafür gestimmt haben. Das isr absolut übergriffig.

In Paris werden solche Radwege zum Glück nicht bezirksweise von irgdnwelchen Initiativen geplant, sondern direkt zentral. Dadurch konnten die auch so einen Fortschritt machen. Ich bin recht regelmäßig in Paris und diese Transformation ist großartig zu sehen. Vor 10 Jahren hatte ich um meinen einsam Fahrradfahrenden Freund dort große Angst. Jeden tag durch das Getümmel aggressiver Autos zu fahren schien selbstmörderisch. Dann wurden stück für stück Autoparkplätze durch Leihräder-Parkplätze ersetzt, wichtige Straßen für Autos gesperrt. Sehr radikal und gegen riesiges Geschrei wütender Leute. Aber es hat gewirkt und inzwischen fährt die halbe Stadt Rad.
