As it is, my teenager has a used iPhone SE I only paid $150 for. (She’s super anti-social network so I don’t really feel bad as she doesn’t spend that much time on it.)

Can’t we get some sort of legislative process put in place around this kind of thing?!

For the time the things were fast as hell… they were also, however, hot as hell. So I got some large aluminum heat sinks and attached them to each side and made a 5.25” drive adapter out of aluminum. Since it was open to the front my case exhaust fans cooled the drives as it was the main intake for the case and it worked pretty darn well until I upgraded.

Apple is working on a giant foldable device, which could be a version of the iPad Pro or a MacBook, as it is slated to feature an 18.8-inch screen. The confusion regarding the product arose when it became clear that the device would not be equipped with a dedicated physical keyboard. However, the fact that it could be folded like a laptop did not completely rule out the possibility of it being a MacBook. It is now being reported that the company’s 18.8-inch foldable device will run macOS instead of iPadOS, making it a close relative to the MacBook lineup rather than the iPad.
A MBP like this sounds horrible. I’ve seen some other manufacturers do this, where they have a screen on the bottom and it’s a keyboard… I know apple is great at haptic feedback, but that’s still a big bucket of nope for me. A fold out iPad, running iOS would be kinda cool, but also way too clunky. I’m not sure the use case here.

Definitely rip your discs. DVDs and BluRays. I had one BluRay get its encryption key revoked and couldn’t play it anymore… luckily I was able to rescue it by ripping it in an older BR-ROM drive.

I will say that the sheer amount of high tech crammed into the Vision Pro package necessitates that price tag. Not to mention the R&D and testing to do so. Like I completely understand why it costs as much as it does.
Still not going to buy it though.

Intel would have to somehow make their ARC line better for AI and do it faster than Nvidia is improving theirs.
Or… they could use a thunderbolt/usb-c wire and not pollute the wireless spectrum.
