In Seattle we call these studio apartments, I learned reading this thread that it’s not a normal thing. My friends that live in one can’t cook without their bed absorbing the smell.

I do this but I add cooked pasta in the pan sauce and eat it on the side of the steak, maybe with some lemon if the alcohol isn’t acidic enough for my taste

It also comes from ‘boomer’, some names tend to stick.

Thai chili as garnish is 10/10, I soak my chopped chili in fish sauce for a bit of saltiness.

In aquascaping/Planted tank community, some call duck weed ‘tank herpes’ cause once it’s found its way in, there’s no getting it out permanently. Eating it might be interesting use for it though, always nice to find a way to reuse biproducts from any hobby.
