drawerair@lemmy.worldOPto Microsoft@lemdro.id•Windows 11 repeatedly promoted Edge, Onedrive and Phone linkEnglish2·5 months agoYes this isn’t a new thing. Weeks ago I read a headline talking re a Microsoft ad in the Windows lock screen. I didn’t have ads in my lock screen but I can imagine the annoyance for those who had ads.
drawerair@lemmy.worldOPto Windows 11@lemmy.world•Windows 11 repeatedly promoted Edge, Onedrive and Phone linkEnglish2·5 months agoWindows 11 didn’t enable Onedrive in my Documents, Pictures and others. I’ve used local storage since I bought my 💻. I hope Windows 11 won’t suddenly enable Onedrive. Folks will riot if they’ll do such a 💩 act.
drawerair@lemmy.worldOPto Windows 11@lemmy.world•Windows 11 repeatedly promoted Edge, Onedrive and Phone linkEnglish4·5 months agoNo. The promotions annoyed me but not extremely. Anyway, it’s been 👍 to know I could always switch to Linux. There’s @level1linux if I wanna know more re Linux. I think Wendell’s an expert.
It’s been 👍 ime. Concise answers. It even correctly answered my question re a recent Nba game. Its voice sounds natural and isn’t irritating.
I fretted that the Bulls’ win crushed the Lakers’ morale. Seemed not. Doncic, Bron and Reaves cooked. What a luxury for the Lakers having someone who can score at will when badly needed – Doncic. Circus layups even when defended well. Long step-back 3s. Nba finals experience. He’s young so he can improve greatly.
Edey played hard. Since the news that the Lakers looked for a 👍 center before the trade deadline, I’ve appreciated 👍 centers more. Adebayo, Edey, Gafford, Lively and others.
drawerair@lemmy.worldto Sync for Lemmy@lemmy.world•Please give Sync a bad rating on the Play StoreEnglish3·8 months agoHe can post here and on another platform (like Instagram) so the users won’t think of switching.
Your Sync is still 👍 so I suggest staying.
My Voyager’s been smooth. Also, I finally have the crosspost feature. Sync doesn’t have it. I prefer Voyager’s implementation of crosspost over the Lemmy site’s implementation. By “Lemmy site” I mean going to lemmy.world on my 💻’s browser.
Agree. turn off 🧠 and view Tenet
Per Nolan, it was his James Bond flick. I’m :) he made it and it wasn’t a cliched intelligence agent flick.
The wit of Protagonist, the lady with the lab coat, Neil, Priya and Kate was 👍.
Thanks for the info.

His long 3 was 👍. His improving chemistry with Bron and Reaves was 👍 too.
I disagree with Thinking basketball’s title. It may be a bit clickbait-y. He’s been the Lakers coach.
That Rodman clip was so 👍. He knew what he was doing.
I viewed the last few minutes. 👎 defense by the Trailblazers.
Trailblazers’ mindset – Don’t let the Mavs score. It’s OK if we foul them.
Schroder was clutch! If he was like that as a Laker, the Lakers’ big shots may offer him a juicy contract in 2023 and he may stay with the Lakers.
drawerair@lemmy.worldto Android@lemmy.world•Google Messages adopts double FAB to promote GeminiEnglish1·8 months agoBeen using Samsung messages for years, not Google messages, but I just wanna comment.
I’m OK with it. It’s been an ai race. It’s natural that Google is taking advantage of the millions of Android phones and of the fact that many are using Google messages and Gmail.
Adding Gemini to Google messages is sensible to me. I just hope it won’t be annoying.
Gmail has been my main email but I didn’t see Gemini in it. Maybe in the future?
Didn’t view the show. Didn’t read the article. I just went to Wikipedia to see the winners. For me Oppenheimer is 1 of the top flicks of the decade. I’m :) for everyone behind that flick. I’m :) with the decisions Nolan made. No composite character for scientists. Black and white for the Lewis Strauss things. Sticking with practical effects for the Trinity test even if it was hard. (I think this is 1 of the 👍 marketing things for the flick. Tell the public no cgi in the flick.) He didn’t shorten the flick to, say, 2 h and 15 min, which would probably make the studio gladder. (My idea is Infinity war and Endgame showed that a long flick can earn much. Are studios more accepting of long flicks now?)
Cillian Murphy’s and Downey Jr.'s acting were 👍 so I wasn’t :o that they won.
It was 👍 that Jennifer Lame won Best film editing. The flick was nonlinear temporally so 👎 editing could easily screw it up. Lame edited it such that it was easy to follow despite the nonlinearity.
