Headscale has an issue open for wireguard only exit nodes though, I guess ill wait for that.

I tried self-hosting tailscale with headscale, but you cannot have a wireguard only exit node with headscale–and so I can’t have mullvad as my exit node.

If it turns on with mobile data automatically, that turns off my Mullvad VPN.

What browser should I use on mobile? I use Librewolf on desktop since it runs fine, and the vertical tabs are great, and it looks nice.

On mobile though there’s a lot of problems with the browser space:

• Chrome: runs great but is obviously not good for privacy
• Firefox: what most people recommend, but it has terrible performance, looks not great, and doesn’t even have more than basic fingerprinting protection, and literally includes ads by default. It’s also less secure on Android because they don’t do per site process isolation, and the memory allocator is worse.
• Brave: people tend to dislike brave here, but it runs well (since it’s chromium based) and has at least better fingerprinting protection.

What other options are there?

I mean, the problem with that is how to handle the federation.

I could just make an instance and have it tell all the other instances that I donated 18,360 awards to a single comment, and they couldn’t tell if that was legitimate or not.

The “mismatching instance” is likely to happen on phtn.app because the default instance for new users is lemdro.id and you’re on feddit.org.

I’m not exactly sure how to resolve this. I guess I could make it so that if you only have a single guest account (people who dont use the threadiverse with an account), it’ll automatically create a new one for that specific instance.

The original link ap_id corresponds to the author’s instance.

As for your other point, there is no good universal Lemmy linking thing for posts. communities and users have names that work on any instance, but there’s no similar unique identifier for posts.

The former display will be shown if the API gives Photon an embed_title and a thumbnail url. Piefed doesn’t seem to generate embed_title, so it will always look like that. I could fix this specific issue by adding support for peertube embeds, which I will do soon.
