Got it. Thanks for explaining.
Got it. Thanks for explaining.
But why would I count everyone? In an election you can’t the people that voted, since those are the votes you can possibly get…
I thought winning the popular vote was getting the majority of the votes that was cast. Is that incorrect?
169 three times in a row.
Seems like my blue/green divider is pretty consistent.
Didn’t he win the popular vote this last go around?
When talking about elections, only the people who actually voted are of interest
It’s obvious a candidate is not getting 50% of voters to vote for him if generally only 60% of the population votes…
I don’t hate Americans at all. What would give you that idea?
Its hard sympathising when Americans have willingly and knowingly put themselves in this position but that doesn’t mean I hate them.
I root for you guys and hope you get your shit together, for the sake of everyone on earth.
I should probably have said that I’m Danish and not American, so that may be why people are so confused about me not experiencing a decline in QoL
Electricity was high a few years back when the Ukraine / Russia war started but since then it’s back to a regular level…
My ac is running on 23c from 8 in the morning and till I return around 16-17 in the afternoon, which should tell you how much I worry about energy prices.
And none of that has had a noticeable effect on my QoL or any of the people I know, that I’ve talked to about this subjects since I read this post.
No.
Edit: Not to an extent that it has lowered my QoL at least. I realize groceries have gone up but so has wages where I live.
Yes, that alone has nothing to do with whether the election was fair or not.
Was there fraud with the votes? Was people denied voting? Those are some of the things that would make an election not fair.
Looking from the outside on US politics it seemed you guys had a wannabe dictator and narcicist run for president. He told you exactly how bonkers he is and what he plans to do. And you guys voted him in twice…
It’s hard to feel sympathy for Americans.
So never, because that is for sure not going to happen.
I have not experienced any QoL reductions due to global warming. Not any that affects me in a noticeable negative way anyways.
Which reductions in QoL are you thinking of?
They have plenty of wind energy too.
People won’t listen because they’ve heard something similar for decades now, and for most people in the western world they haven’t really experienced any decline in QoL due to global warming.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Maybe peaceful protest is not what we should be aiming for…
Exactly. Any normal person despises pedophiles. We don’t need a shirt to let others know.
I’d be willing to bet money that this guy is a pedophile himself.
What does attention in this case help other than more people saying “look at those idiots blocking the road”…in my opinion it may even detract from the cause…
On the other hand, if the CEOs of the companies who are polluting our world and the politicians they’re successfully lobbying have to live in fear in their own homes, shit starts to change quick.
You support stopping random people from going where they’re going but I’m the selfish prick…
Edit: I’m not begging anyone to do anything. I’m arguing with logic… That seems to be aggrevating to people like you.
Edit2: also I’m not trying to get people’s sympathy. The people protesting are…
Can you quote where that was said?
I’ve been following this debate for a bit and as far as I can tell it’s not so much that they’ll do what they can to keep rust out but more to make sure that the people who want to develop in rust are the ones who end up maintaining that part of the code and not the current maintainers.
