I really like her delivery. I tend to get heated about these things, and I think that kind of tone turns people off when talking about the injustice in stunts like this. Her level headed statements really drive the point home. And I want to be more like that because articulating why this isn’t inspiring is important. Science communication is becoming so popular these days, but a lot of people are just trying to capitalize on the trend and not actually care about the science.

Never ate liver and onions until I was married. My own mother was grossed out when I told her I ate liver. But it is so flavorful! I’m sad I missed out as a kid because my parents thought it was gross. I promised myself I will not do the same to my kids.

I hope this decision haunts these people for the rest of their lives. I know they won’t publicly speak out ever, likely to save face and toe the line in their community. But when they lay their heads down at night, I hope they are truly ashamed of their failure as parents.

Eternal Sunshine if a Spotless Mind has such good reviews and people speak fondly of it online. I hated it, just thought both characters were insufferable, and there was nothing remotely romantic about it. Felt like I was trapped in the bad relationship with them.

Lee Pace. He has done a lot of great tv recently, and is easily the best part of the shows he is in. I hope to see a Cillian Murphy-esque rise from excellent tv to starring in great movies.
He has been in Twilight, the Hobbit movies, and the MCU which are all huge franchices. But I hope he gets good interesting parts like his chracters in Halt amd Catch Fire, The Foundation, and the Fall.

I mean, I understand that taste is subjective, but you don’t get to be the lead actor in a movie if you are ugly. Even the weird looking actors and actresses that people argue about are striking to look at compared to a lot of normal people.
He says different things according to who he is talking to. On more mainstream podcasts, he has remained reasonable about vaccines. Only casting a few doubts about the quantity of vaccines that are recommended. But on more fringe podcasts, he will alter his rhetoric to suit the conversation.
John Oliver did a great breakdown of his unclear stance on vaccines. He shows an extremely concerning habit of hand waving away his previous statements after he has been proven wrong. In the position of power that he finds himself in, that will likely be deadly for some of us. Not the first time a Kennedy felt absolved of any guilt in the death of other people though…
He campaigned against high-speed rail development in California, saying he could invent a better system. Then, he admitted to his biographer that he had no intention of building the “hypet loop.” He stands to benefit if our public transportation is crap because he owns a car company. Especially in a state like California, which is banning the of gas-powered vehicles in the near future. Of course he wants to ruin Amtrak, he is sabatoging the competition. That way, more money goes in his pocket.

This site is fantastic. As I recall, you can do a whole string of destinations and it finds every possible route. Great for getting around Europe when I was on a tight budget.
