I am waiting for an official SteamOS Desktop release. If I am switching to Linux, I would prefer a gaming-focused PC distro that has the support of an 800lb gorilla.
If I have to migrate early, say, at the start of a 2nd American Civil War, I will probably use CachyOS. I don’t expect Microsoft to be neutral or to work for the good guys.
Probably as long as this game, assuming that commiting seppeku is an option.

I would initially do the experimental city as an Eve Online styled MMO - but with multiple servers, each with a specific type of government and economic rule. After a couple years of letting each server’s population fill up and learn their niche, create a ‘hub’ server, where players of the OG servers can start with a territory and compete. Doing it this way, it would make it easier to remove outside factors like geography, pre-existing wealth, unfamiliarity with UBI, and so forth.
The way I figure, it would be easier to track success and population metrics with a wholly artificial reality, then use the insights from that to inform how to structure a realworld UBI Island.

Can’t say any one game was life changing for me. They are more a collection of experiences that I reflect upon. Hundreds of games, that have refined me my thoughts and feelings over the decades.

I was banned for a while, saying that NATO countries should declare war on Russia and kill Putin. That was a political news Reddit, and the topic was about Russia’s Shadow Fleets and sabotage operations. War, the consideration and advocation, is an inherently political thing.

If we have a civil war, that can change. I can’t think of better recruits for soldiery and domestic, than those who have been wronged by the opposing force. It is a silver lining to the deterioration of the USA, if this evil can be dispelled for good.
The kings of yore had to use flushless toilets, the commoner of today now has heated bidets. The wealthy don’t understand that by allowing commoners the ability to think, invent, create, and implement, that the results will trickle up and benefit the wealthy.
Wealth is meant to flow throughout society, not get locked up in the reservoirs of the wealthy. Their greed creates a drought that harms everybody, themselves included.
A Corporate America isn’t much better than Fascist America. Technically more fair, but the ideology of sacrificing humanity for one’s ego still remains.

IMO, it would be better if politicians were like Nascar drivers. At least it would be more honest.
More performance, which would be appreciated. I use local AI for roleplay, shaving off a couple minutes from a response would be nice.
Aside from that, KDE Plasma might let me tweak my experience better than what Mint allowed. Being nearly a complete newcomer to Linux, I don’t really know what distro actually suits me. That is why I would prefer an official SteamOS Desktop, since that would probably have enough casual and power to be useful for me. I am pretty much just going to try Cachy and see how I feel.
