Three Houses just stapled a Persona downtime system to FE. Great game, but they didn’t have to copy-paste it over and over again to make more compelling games. If you look back through the series there are a lot of great games with different paradigms.
I do agree that Engage was garbage though. Gameplay wise it seemed really solid but I couldn’t get past how bad the story and writing was.
I just think they’re fun to shoot. I don’t have any illusions that I should be walking around with guns on the daily as I am unlikely to ever have the training to safely draw on a threat, but just going to the range and making some pew-pew at targets is fun as hell.
This may be apocryphal but I recall that the reason his staff didn’t intervene sooner was because he was prone to lashing out at anyone who disturbed him. So he might not have died so painfully if not for being such a colossal asshole.

Honestly it’s an unreasonable expectation to expect all voters to be excellent judges of character, or even understanding enough about practicalities to identify the better of two bad options. Even if these people had access to better information, would they process it correctly? I can be somewhat understanding of folks who were tricked by these lies given the context that they live in.
