I’ve been stuck in a relatively dead-end job for a while. Getting severely underpaid but haven’t been able to find something I can transition to.

My girlfriend has been looking for work post graduation for two years now. Got a few temporary gigs but nothing full time. We both have post secondary education. I’m working with computers, she’s doing accounting.

With Carney sucking up to Trump and the project 2025 shitheads, I don’t forsee us getting any kind of improvements in the next decade.

I tried to rollback this update and either somehow did something incredibly wrong, or windows decided to bug out. It slowed the PC horribly, and I had to reinstall windows 11. Such a pain

It’s really damn weird seeing a large group of people just all collectively lying for prolonged periods of time. It feels so bizarre knowing that if anyone else did that, they would be fired, fined, or possibly face prison time for doing that (especially in Trump and his parties’ case).

I get whiplash hearing all the BS on a daily basis. It really has shown that laws only apply to the poor

Control. They want to feel like they’re in control of all aspects of their team/company. I work from home, but they’ve put on tons of monitoring software to check if we’re looking at different pages, moving our mouse, and interacting with our keyboards. It’s all just about control. When people are in the office, they feel like they have control over what they’re doing. They’re being observed by other coworkers, etc.

I hope whatever happens, the world can find some more stability, peace, and freedom soon. This decade will be spoken about for the next couple hundred years at least.

I would rather have a more progressive option. But if it’s liberals or cons, I’m going to go with the less evil of the two. I really hope we don’t end up like America. I hope we can maintain our freedoms. Otherwise, I see no other options than to flee somewhere safer, but I doubt that’s practical or even possible.

It seems like they are moving away from hardware sales now that they’re pushing their console exclusives to PC/Playstation. They really are trying to push for gamepass, but I feel like that’s going to alienate their core fan base that has invested into their ecosystem.

They don’t seem to be concerned with communication either, which is concerning considering Sony and Nintendo both seem to have better outreach in the past decade. Such a strange shift from when the 360 dominated the market despite having red ring of death issues.

This is just discrimination. They’re trying to figure out how to squeeze every last cent out of our pockets. They’ve already squeezed us as it is! If I can, I’ll avoid any place that does this.

I wonder how difficult it’ll be to mess with them. Can they be hacked? How easy can they be broken?

Edit: Actually, the only way I would accept this is if they had a database online where everyone could scan and scrape the data. If it was constantly being analyzed and they could prove they weren’t screwing people, then sure, why not. It actually might convince me to shop there more if that were the case. That would probably be more fair than what they do now. As it stands, it’s not like we can see how they change prices day to day all that efficiently. But I could see how they could use these to abuse prices a ton.

I’ve been playing Mario Galaxy 2 for the first time. It’s pretty good, but I’m wondering what the hype was about. Perhaps it’s a product of its time in a way, but overall, it’s still a lot of fun. I keep dying at stupid parts, which is really funny. You can tell the developers really pushed their skills to the limits as all of the levels seem like they’re really well done.

I’ve been streaming a playthrough of Ghost of Tsushima, and I recently got to the DLC. I think the game does so many things right, but I have a few minor gripes. Overall, I really like the atmosphere and the world design. The environments are gorgeous.
