Or would different permutations screw with the odds, say rolling a 12 then a 1, rolling a 15 and a 1, etc, counting towards unfavourable possibilities and bringing it back to 1/20?

I was a kid when ENT was airing, I wasn’t able to watch it consistently, but it was my first brush with Star Trek and I remembered how hopeful the song made me feel for the future. I can admit it is corny, but I was a kid and I didn’t know much English at the time so I didn’t get the religious undertones and to this day hearing it makes me incredibly nostalgic. Yup, there’s plenty of time to have fun if you don’t have to manage lil’ ones. Not saying people who want kids shouldn’t get them, but moreso that people who don’t necessarily want them and just see it as something people have to do should consider a childless lifestyle. Depends on the part of the world you live in. I’m that age and coworkers (!) constantly joke about having to find me a wife and find it a bit odd that I’m not even in a long-time relationship yet.

I had this colleague a few years back who was 28-29 at the time, and people were bad-mouthing him because he wasn’t married, saying that something must be wrong with him. Societal pressure is very strong here.
