Poor people currently are fighting to get their kids into a hospital. Rich people postpone their work to be with their dog in IC. Then they post it on social media for… For what? Scoring Social Media points? Empathy?
Social media sucks!

9th is not bad, but it is not qualifying. And it would sound a lot less positive in this way: “Tsunoda starts behind Albon and Hulkenberg”.

The main purpose is to correct my English for formal letters and emails. I found the Gemma3 model to be working best on the limited resources of my laptop. Deepseek-R1 does not work at all, ‘Thinking…’ for a long before giving an answer (if at all). The text that Qwen produces is insufficient. So I choose a non-chinese model for practical reasons.

Most people call it “on the limit”. Precision is part of this sport, and small mistakes can have big consequences. George should know, his car was found to be illegal in Belgium GP2024 and he was stripped from his win because his car was too light.
NextCloud is a full collaborative platform that includes file-sharing, file-editing, chat, calendars, to-do lists, mail, and more. Does Sync-in provide similar features, or is it only focused on file-sync and collaborative file-editing? Is it really an alternative for NextCloud?

itsame@lemmy.worldto India@lemmy.ml•India and Israel meet to deepen military ties in sign of solidarity amid Gaza atrocities4·2 months agoThe meeting highlights Delhi’s backing of Adani, a company that has invested billions in Israel and maintains strong ties with PM Modi. Adani holds a 70% stake in Haifa port and collaborates with Elbit Systems, known from Palestine Action protests, in a venture called Adani Elbit Advanced Systems India, which produces drones similar to those used by the IDF in Palestine. Adani is also planning a $10 billion investment in a joint venture with Tower Semiconductor, an Israeli chip manufacturer. Additionally, Adani is a major contributor to global pollution through its expanding coal mining operations worldwide.
Although the Red Bull situation is obvious because it is openly on the table, there are also teams linked via other ways. Parts manufacturers, engine manufacturers, sponsors, etc can be included. But also you can think of Toto Wolff as co-owner of Mercedes AMG and manager of Esteban Ocon. And then, what if a driver halfway through the season signs for a different team for the next season?

I would have learned something new if that was the case. Any documentation on that?
Ollie says “right foot brake” which is different from modern F1 with two pedals where the left foot only is for breaking.

Basically, they rev the engine and then release the clutch so the engine rpm matches the road-speed in the lower gear. It allows for faster release of the clutch.

The potential reasons the long-serving F1 team principal was dismissed2·3 months agoThis is not about the team, it is about the Red Bull brand and the marketing value. And with all the negativity around the team, it has gone down. It was in the past years accepted because the sporting performance was good, but that has now come to an end.
I would love to see what happened to Hamilton (and Alonso) in the last lap.
