The biggest issue with Signal is that it requires a phone number to register an account, even if you’re just using the desktop version. Asking Signal to hand over the data it holds on you shows that the phone number you’re using is associated with each device you’ve used to log into Signal.

As a result, Signal must hand this information over when requested to by U.S. law enforcement. The scope of what an investigator could learn is limited, but at the bare minimum they would be able to confirm when you last connected to the service.

While most of Google’s analytics are turned off in the Signal app, it still uses the Google Maps API to handle location data. Calls to Google Maps turn over a bunch of metadata, including the IP you’re connecting from. For a project that’s so invested in privacy, it’s surprising that Signal doesn’t use an open source alternative such as Open Street Map.

Only problem is, if the law enforcement is really controlled by the rich - which it is most places.

I’d say that too, if I had tried to let my gut feelings talk, and was caught up, having no real evidence for my claims. You went for me personally, and couldn’t even back your claims up. You are not worth it, and you are obviously caught up in your narrative.

I asked you to give me an example of some content that only exist on YT. Bear in mind, it has to be some content that you need, and can’t find anywhere else. There are, obviously some creators that post only on YT, but what they post about, you can find lots of other places. There’s no real knowledge that you can only find on YT… But feel free to give me an example (that’s just 1 example I ask for), and that’s too much for you.

I really dont know what answer you expect on that. It’s no secret that the vast majority of creators only upload their videos on YouTube. Should they mirror them on something like Peertube? Well, yeah, but this is not in your control.

It’s a simple question, but I guess you just proved my point here. It was your claim, that there are exclusive content on YT, that you can’t find anywhere else. A claim that didn’t hold.

Tell me, why do you expect an answer, when you refuse to give one? I don’t have to block every domain to not use a service. Are you really that clueless?

I use AMD, where ever it is possible. Simply because they support Linux. There’s really no other reason needed. I don’t care about CUDA or anything else, that is vaguely not relevant. I’d rather drive a medium car, that gives me freedom, than a high end car, that ties me down.
