Encephalotrocity@biglemmowski.winto Political Discussion and Commentary@lemmy.world•Get rid of the guyEnglish34·5 months agoWhen are Americans going to figure this out?: 63.7% voted, the other 36.3% don’t fucking matter. By not voting they said “we are okay with this”.
49.8% (more if you include the RFK voters) of the people who mattered voted for this, and those that didn’t vote are complicit whether they like it or not.
Why. The Fuck. Are they allowing prison inmates to torture cats?! /s

The word ‘round’ refers to a single shot fired by a weapon. Artillery pieces are weapons so a shell is a round in this case.
This happened in March. This is already old news.

Encephalotrocity@biglemmowski.winto Political Videos@lemmy.world•When you have to play the villain to be a heroEnglish3·5 months ago;tldw Rightwing nutjob makes a video about some rich guy’s legal battle with New York bureaucracy. Woman fell on the sidewalk, sued the owner and city, and the city claimed not liable as it is dudes property. Property lines reinforce this so no schenanigans here. Dude builds a fence extending out onto sidewalk and street claiming it is his right as property owner and now the city wants to fine him for the fence (which it probably can due to public sidewalk accessibility laws).
IMO this is the equivalent of other rich assholes doing shit like fencing to the water line on their property to prevent public access to a community beach.

I’ve seen this specific plane at my local airfield which rarely handles planes larger than Beechcraft. It was literally a must-see local attraction for the 3 weeks it was here. Crazy huge.

Sorry mate, but any first year biology student learns that the higher up the food chain the more concentrated the heavy metals are. Take Tuna. As free range as you can get but it is advised to minimize consumption, particularly when pregnant, due to the high mercury content.
While lifestyle does affect palatability of the meat (Bear near the dump always tastes ‘off’) it is more a question of ‘what’ is being bioaccumulated, not ‘if’. In your example scavengers are bioaccumulating pesticides and preservatives, whereas the successful predator accumulates all the heavy metals its prey, and their prey, and their prey (repeat until the bottom of the tree) consumed.
You can’t get around it. All high level predators have shitty meat, whether it tastes bad or not.
