As someone who used to monch on scented chapstick, yeah, same.

AskUSA@discuss.online•How has your week been in the US?English
3·9 months agoLots of snow storms suddenly hitting, makes it acrualy feel like winter now! Been a normal week otherwise, steady at work and avoided getting sick thus far! Pretty decent week all in all.
Valentine’s day today so I plan on seeing the better half and spending the weekend with em.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What scientific fact blows your mind the most?
2·9 months agoHow do we stop radar? By obliterating the air around us with cube. Lol
That is actually pretty neat though!

1·9 months agoI only started buying eggs regularly recently, but they are up to $6.99 at my local store. Not Midwest but I am in a place where there’s lots of locals who have their own chicken and small farms. So that price is wicked surprising. Imma just nab some from my friend for the cartons

Hmmmm looks like the light is green, password is just for show
I once consulted my aunt (PHD English professor) for a small stakes bet ($5) because a friend and I were discussing whether or not letters have any fundamental rules on how they are written.
Turns out, no, they don’t. I.E. if I write: Hello there, ¥
¶®×°∆| Kenobi. As long as "¥¶®×°∆|" is understood as “General” than according to (american) English it is written “correctly”. There’s no edict that states a " T" must be written in that shape, therefore, any symbol that’s understood intent wise is correct.I lost that bet, cause WTF, how is that acceptable??
He was just tried and convicted, on 34 felony counts no less! Apparently the punishment for that is immediate release 🤷♀️
Yeah, I’m in the 11-25 range too, which is actually surprising to me. I’ve two friends who probably are the tier above that and the vast majority of the people I know are below that.
The only person I can think of that may have been even a tier above that did some work in that area, was an attractive girl, and high libido. Definitely an outlier.
TBH though I would’ve thought the average would’ve been higher
This is the problem I’ve encountered. Anime is fine, it’s like any other show/entertainment but it really can attract the wrong type of people. It’s why I don’t put it in my profile. The person I’m seeing has plenty of “horror” stories like yours too and said they avoid people with that in their profile now even though they like it cause of how weird or obsessive people can get about it.
Kinda sucks cause IMO one of the best parts about it is the ability to create other worlds/universes that live action struggles to do. (Think ATLA anime vs Live action)
I recall one moment with an ex GF, we were the same height, never bothered me, it was what it was. I still recall we went to some even though, she put on some heels and turned around and gave me just the most heart breaking pity look and took off her heels. Man, it never occurred to me it was or would be a problem, but I could see it was to her.
That didn’t ruin the relationship or anything, we continued for quite a bit after, but I still recall that vividly.

Greentext@sh.itjust.works•4chan, /fit/izen advocates milkies
1·10 months agoI had thought that once people moved north (after animal husbandry was invented) the winter and cold was so brutal that they consumed milk out of necessity for the fats and such. Animals could eat stuff humans couldn’t and turn it into “food” which lasted way long than a slaughtered animals’s meat.
I’ve been seeing a girl about a month now and I find her SO attractive that it’s made me way more cautious about making moves. I’m increasingly finding that although she’s incredibly attractive to me she likes the same stuff p much every other girl I’ve dated has. I just am getting in my own way by thinking I’ll fuck it up. What’s even more bizzare is she likes me too
Y’all be got by ‘time you realizin’ I been here
I do photography and have thousands of photos, I have like actually 10 of myself, and those were mostly taken by my friend with the intent of putting on dating apps.
Online dating has evercerated my self confidence though. So I just detest photos of myself ever more.
A friend of mine said she got banned because she shared a link. It was a link to some gif or something. I almost got banned because I had a picture of myself as a kid on there and apparently people felt the need to report me over that

Greentext@sh.itjust.works•Anon makes a troubling connection
3·10 months agoYes and no, the way our society is built/structured can’t handle negative growth. A lot of infrastructure and way of life/quality of life would suffer massively. That being said, pop growth also can’t go up forever (while limited to earth). We actually have a ton of livable land left too, cities have learned how to be so super dense that it’s eating all the rural area’s populations in quickly developing places (It’s where all the jobs and opportunities are -cities). Estimates suggest we will top off around 10 billion people
I had a DM who set up a puzzle room, tiles on the floor with arrow traps. It ended up being the fibonacci sequence however, it started like, 15 digets in and none of us players knew which were correct. (didn’t wanna meta game and google it) So we just Dex rolled across the whole floor and were super wounded after. The next room over was a boss fight -_-
We probably weren’t supposed to be so wounded going in.
Better yet, you can type it! Leads to much better results

Only by a friend. I took a silly photo with my face blown wayyy up and distorted with a caption and now its just a meme between us
