They literally believe that those things are part of a conspiracy to make and/or keep us sick for profit.

The arguments in favor of this take real examples of shady shit companies have done in the past and mix them with a healthy dose of the appeal to nature fallacy. It can sometimes be dressed up in scientific terms to make it seem more legitimate; e.g. Your body evolved to do this, so it’s better to do it naturally. Or it can be a matter of faith.

Of course, they downplay the mountain of evidence regarding infant and maternal mortality that we’ve accumulated over the last couple of centuries.

It’s a scam, and one that unfortunately will get a lot of innocent and well meaning mother’s and their children killed.

If feel like more of them just realizing that they won’t be the exception to the rule and only really care now that it’s obvious they’ll get the shit end of the stick just like everyone else.

For a great many MAGAs it is and always was about weaponizing a social and political movement to hurt people they don’t like and now that it’s hurting them, we’re seeing clearly that their principles never aligned with what they espoused. It’s always hypocrisy with them, they aren’t willing to be tradwives and follow the ideals they claim to support, but they’re happy to use the idea to attack feminism.

If they wind up being forced out of politics, I have no sympathy for them. It was so very apparent, going all the way back to the beginning of Gamergate, that this was the trajectory of the movement.

I just… go to my doctor on a regular basis… If I’m worried I make an appointment. He’s a nice man, he explains things and gives me good advice. It’s almost like he’s had some kind of professional education to help him identify and treat health problems…

If you can comfortably drop $600 on something as abjectly stupid as a dedicated poop-cam I bet you can get at least comparable coverage to what I have.

I bet the only advice you get if it does flag something as abnormal is to see your doctor anyway. The analysis is probably done by a half baked AI or a squad of former call center workers who say through a one hour training video.

I have nothing to confirm this except my own suspicions, but even when all you see are puff pieces from the media they own, it seems pretty obvious that these guys are trying so damn hard to be cool in order to compensate for some kind of deep seated insecurity. Their need to be liked seems to hang around them like three day old BO. If they weren’t hellbent on destroying the world to validate themselves, it would almost be pitiable.

It’s the money IMO. I think that along with the personality defects that drive them to strive for this in the first place, that kind of wealth changes you and how you see the world, it certainly changes how other people treat you and react to you. I don’t think it’s possible for a healthy person to survive becoming a billionaire without inflicting some serious damage to their psyche, let alone people as apparently pathological as the current class of techbros are. I don’t mean this in an afterschool special, remember-what’s-really-important, return to a small town for Christmas kind of way. I mean their personalities are irreparably damaged to the point that their core values are incompatible with a stable society.

It’s almost certain they think telling a chatbot to love them will give them what they need to feel better about themselves. AI doesn’t want or need their money, AI doesn’t care who they are, AI doesn’t listen to popular opinion about them, AI loves them regardless of all of that…

But, even if they can make a walking, talking sexbot based on current tech, it’ll still leave them needing something else. Chatbots and AI waifu apps are great at giving you what you want without actually providing what you need. They’ll still feel empty and unloved, and their greed is what made them that way.

Most of their fanboys will call it copium and jealousy, but at this point I’d rather have just enough fiscal security to not have to worry and a soul than trade places with any of them.

Yeah, if Elon destroys his life gooning to a creepy chstbot and leaves his companies in the hands of people with actual intelligence and souls we’d all be better off.

Plenty of them aren’t. Some are just jaded from overwork and low pay. Others couldn’t hack it as cops or firefighters and still need something to feel big about, and are pigs.

I’m sure they’d eventually expand the list, but what’s shown on the screen could be thwarted with a thesaurus inside of thirty seconds. Which once again just goes to show how fucking shortsighted and dumb these bastards really are. They can’t handle written communication at a third-grade level.

My wife enjoys her work, finds it rewarding, etc. etc. and has never been really content as a homemaker. My job is alright, but I don’t feel any real passion for it, and I don’t need a work atmosphere or to be around a lot of people to stay engaged. I’m happy just keeping things organized and running smoothly in my own little corner of the world.

I make just a little less than we need for her to stay home, and she makes peanuts in comparison.

It really hacks me off. She works in education, what she does is far more important to the well-being of society than what I do. If our paychecks were reversed, and they honestly should be reversed, I’d be happy to stay home or work part time but it’s just not financially feasible.

Small things you can do:

Document things. Download speeches and clips, save articles, pictures, record your own videos and photos. Keep your receipts, build a weather station, log the effects of this administration on yourself locally. Write a journal. Keep it all offline and be discreet about it. When they try to distance themselves from the inevitable fallout, you can share your own evidence, your own story, and throw it right back in their smug faces.

Take upward flowing money out of the economy any way you can. Repair, reuse, rebuild, swap, share, create, grow, buy local, take on a roommate, do anything you can to avoid pumping cash into the orphan killing, billionare making, machine. Stop feeding Google/Amazon/Meta clicks and advertising dollars. Get a used laptop. Put Linux on it. Get VPN incorporated in a country that doesn’t give a fuck about the US and pirate media. Better yet, make your own media and give it away. Starve the people who will profit off this administration and the chaos it’ll create as much as you can.

Practice opsec. Limit your online profile. Keep location services off. Don’t talk about how you can’t agree with Trump’s policies because the trans kid next door is a good person. Don’t tell people a trans kid lives next door to you. Get a dumb phone or use a privacy focused OS on your smart phone. You can learn how to install a custom ROM, I have faith in you. Help others do the same, make it harder for them to dox people and reduce the data they have to target propaganda and manipulative media with.
