Jaguar as a car brand completely imploded last year. It wasn’t clear if they would even make cars again.
It still isn’t clear if they will be profitable at making cars.

Fucking Merkel. Now is the time for unity against the invader. Not finger pointing at allies.
And Merkel bears no fault in this I suppose?
Seriously. And since Merkel got the fingers pointing, let’s talk about Merkel. Merkel was instrumental in getting Germany hooked on Russian gas. They even publicly laughed at people pointing it out. Merkel, when even Trump makes you look bad, you are making some horrible decisions.
Then when Russia invaded Ukraine for the second time, what did Germany do? Well, they did they only thing they could do as they setup no alternative plan: they shoveled money into Russia’s coffers, funding their invasion of Ukraine. Took them years to fix this issue.
Yeah, active PoE is the only kind worth buying. Passive PoE is an accident waiting to happen.
why would anyone think they could open up a few more fronts against well armed NATO countries?
Russia could do this. It would just suck really hard for everyone, including Russia. Dictators who are currently running their country into the ground often do really, really stuipid shit.
The response to these incursions are to give Ukraine the capabilities to destroy Russian war production. Upset by Russian drone incursions into NATO countries? Give Ukraine long-range cruise missiles and let them blow up Russian drone factories. Russia understands strength, the course of action is to respond with strength.
Starlink is all in LEO. It doesn’t become space junk as there is sufficient drag in LEO that they readily deorbit purely due to air resistance (yes, there is enough air in LEO to make air resistance the factor in why Starlink does not become space junk).
As part of this, Linux and OSX gained market share, and Windows lost some:
Some nice charts on the Gaming On Linux Steam Tracker as well.
Paying extra just to have access to multiplayer is one of the core reasons I sold my 360 and haven’t bought a console since. PS2 and latest PC are both golden!
Always a good way to live!
Now back at school pursuing a new degree.
Careful with this one. Racking up even more debt generally does not make your life easier.
Mass Effect 2 was the last great game Bioware made. So, yeah.
EA is well known for turning studios to shit. They have quite the impressive graveyard at this point.
Not all of us know what this is. Can you expand on your thoughts?
In addition to the Dev’s experience of the Linux community being more likely to collect information and submit quality bug reports (even assisting in bug diagnosis after the report), many developers just won’t test in Linux and fix bugs, while doing that regularly for Windows. So, their under-tested version is buggier.
That door gunner almost certainly isn’t. And, at least one of the pilots lived at least long enough to land it.
Past that, hard to tell from the video.
They could try selling cheaper cars. Land Rovers are monstrously expensive, and Jaguars are very expensive as well.
it would cost 43 percent less to power a 120 MW data facility with renewables and a small amount of gas-generated energy
Yes, it turns out gas is cheap. Kinda thought the whole point here was to get away from gas…
Edit: This is generally the case when people say ‘renewables are cheaper than x’. They either mean ‘they are cheaper when they happen to be producing power’ or ‘they are cheaper when paired with gas’. The reason for this is grid-scale energy storage is fucking expensive (with the exception of hydro, which is already fully built out.) So you are left with either gas or nuclear to pair with your renewables. And for some reason, many of the same people who want reduced carbon emissions find pairing renewables with gas easier to argue for than pairing renewables with nuclear.
Ebay, Cragslist. Doesn’t fully fit in with the sub, but, it’s what I do when I get too many.
Nice.
Very much so looking forward to seeing rigorous benchmarks of GPUs on linux.
And all the weird slowdowns it was exhibiting? Totally absent in Linux. I expected performance to be a wash, but it’s noticeably improved.
Things loading notably faster on Linux was not my expectation either, but it certainly is the case. My theory is the Windows AV randomly attacks things, and when it does, shit just sloooowwws down.
It’s not about individuals, it’s about businesses. Many companies will not bother to sell any of these. The HDDs and SSDs will go into a chipper (for security reasons) and the rest will go into the dumpster. Dealing with old machines like this isn’t worth the salary to pay an employee to sell them, nor is it worth the headache to make sure that employee is selling them in a compliant way.
Mmm, very true.
