That last pun almost flew right over my head.
Well no, that’s what I was saying.
In Matthew 27:3–7 he is filled with remorse, tries to give the silver back, the priests don’t want it, he throws it on the ground and goes and hangs himself, and the priests buy a potters field with it.
But in Acts 1:18 it merely says he buys used the money to buys a field, falls in it, and “burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.”
It’s a famous discrepancy among biblical scholars, and the general belief is that it is a discrepancy. Some try to justify it figuratively, but the better explanation is it’s all nonsense.
Judas, specifically.
Strongly disagree. Judas felt shame, and hung himself. Conservatives feel no shame and would never repent.
(Unless of course you read the other chapter of the fairy tale that says he didn’t kill himself but instead fell into a hole and exploded or something)
TIL this was originally a Springsteen song. I’ve only ever heard Manfred Mann’s Earth Band’s far superior version.

Not to get off too far on this tangent, but I hope OP comes back and cosines your statement.
Don’t say that, you have so much to live for.

Thanks so much for the informative and detailed reply. That pretty much answers every question.
Thanks also for the tip about LMDE. I actually really like Mint, I’m only switching because it’s the only distro I’ve tried and I feel like I should shop around a bit. Going to Debian because while starting my journey I want to shop around with things that work, rather than having to learn how to tinker all at once just to get things running. But if I decide I need Mint back I’ll probably check out LMDE for the hell of it.
Can you expand on this a little for a new guy who is considering a switch from Mint to Debian?
In my understanding Firefox ESR is like a stable, longstanding version that doesn’t get frequent little updates but still gets occasional large updates. (Like 1.0, 1.1, etc. rather than 1.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2, etc.)
Is there a measurable difference in the user experience and or security of ESR?
And is Debian actually restricted to ESR?
That unicorn looks like a constipated greyhound dog trying to shit.
If I’m understanding this right, your judges are selected by the Judicial Appointments Commission, and the commissioners of the JAC are chosen by senior judges?
That seems like an extremely effective way of keeping the court independent. It may turn one direction or another over a long period of time, but it isn’t beholden to the whims of whatever fat orange fascist is holding elected office at the time.

You’re right, that is easy to remember!
Just tighter controls on ephedrine and pseudoephedrine. Any dumbass can make it in the bathroom easily with homemade lab equipment using ephedrine, so a lot of law and law enforcement crackdowns have centered on that.
I haven’t seen the show in a long time and never finished it, but from what I remember, later in the show they ditch both methods and move on to methylamine. Going that route would also allow production of isolated d-methamphetamine.
“Biker meth” is most if not all meth now. It uses phenyl-2-propanone as the starting point and produces a racemic mixture of dextromethamphetamine and levomethamphetamine.
Traditional clandestine meth production using ephedrine produces pure dextromethamphetamine.
d-methamphetamine is the euphoric feel good stuff. l-methamphetamine is the racing heart, more neurotoxic, nearly immediate psychosis stuff.
TL;DR - “Biker meth” is most meth now. It’s much worse for you and less enjoyable.
There are a ton of cool unbelievably ornate firearms, armor items, and other weaponry at the Museo Nazionale Del Bargello in Florence. If you think this is cool and get the chance, highly recommend.
That’s a fair question. My most honest answer isn’t a very good one: I can’t stand it.
Linguistically, I don’t get it. “Fixing to” doesn’t seem to offer any benefit over “about to” or “going to” and as far as I can tell it doesn’t have any logical meaning at all.
If you block OP, you have basically left the community, as OP is this community. Either way, I’m fairly certain OP is posting this as in “look at how dumb this is.” It’s a science memes community.
