Expected by whom?

I’m not even a professional and I expected them to do pretty much exactly what they’re doing.

I’d have to say that anyone who didn’t expect it is an idiot.

But of course that’s not what’s actually going on here.

The truth is that nobody expected them to abide by the agreement. Everybody involved knew they were going to violate it, because that’s what they do every time. And now the spin-meisters are entirely predictably going, “Oh gee whiz, wouldja look at that? It seems like maybe Israel might be sort of not quite abiding by the terms. Not much we can do about that.” And they’ll go back to turning a blind eye to the Palestinian suffering and death they’re enabling, and in all too many cases, funding.
