“Fun” is not a word that comes to my mind when thinking about IBO lol. Intense, gut-wrenching, gripping, cathartic… yeah that sounds more accurate. Either way, seconding the recommend.

You think so? Considering that it’s a Gundam show with such an edgy name it ended up being downright lighthearted compared to what I was expecting.

…I’m honestly not sure how to answer. I mean, there were lighthearted aspects. Who names their kids Cookie, Cracker, and Biscuit? 😂😅😢 But start to finish, it was a tragedy in the classic sense.

I mean, there wasn’t even one attempted genocide! No mass murder at all! Have you seen Victory Gundam? IMO it’s a lot more bleak, though also not as good tbh so if you haven’t watched it don’t feel compelled to.

That may be the case but personally I find the smaller, personal scale way more impactful than “oh no, someone blew up a planet”. I don’t care about millions of blobs acting as background, I do however care about what happens to characters I got to know and love throughout the story.

I’m sure people have different views on that but for me personal is where it’s at and IBO delivers nicely in that regard.
