I feel like if I want a source of news with a political bent I agree with I’m more likely to reach for something like propublica. And ‘A More Perfect Union’ sometimes feels a tad amateurish, but they’re probably the political commentary source I like best, as they add information and narrative to the conversation that wouldn’t otherwise be there, organizing disparate threads and details into one central point.

I think in general I just don’t really like political commentary 😅 it usually feels like someone just telling me what to think for whatever runtime, and I usually don’t need any help with that unless they have something transformative to add, or some new lens through which you can look at the issue.

FD signifier on youtube is more cultural commentary but that overlaps a ton with social issues that are highly politicized and entrenched in our political system, primarily racism, and his content pretty much always feels incredibly valuable to me, and not just like a talking head telling me to think the things that I already do

But then again, I haven’t seen TYT since I was a kid. And I watched them only a bit before deciding they weren’t really for me, and haven’t seen them since

What’s the point of this post? The subject is not topical and you make no effort to sell it. Why’s is it more interesting than 7 million other articles?
