Just remove yourself from Lemmy. This was started by racists and biggots.
There are alternatives, like Piefed.
These toothless petitions are nonsense. Sure, calling the Lemmy devs (plural, because both are basically the same racist and biggotted bunch) out is important, but this is a software created by them and used by them, petition makes little sense.
There’s no one to appeal to. If using a software by them bothers you, simply move on.
I’m planning so, once I figure out a sane path to migrate a whole server without anything breaking.
Maybe, but I’m trying this anyway and I hope you’ll sign the petition too. We’ve got nothing to lose by trying to appeal to Dessalines’ better nature. And hey, if Dessalines can’t be convinced, this petition would be a really handy tool for convincing other people to switch to Piefed. The next step after a petition is a boycott.
Dessalines is just as much of a piece of shit, home slice.
