bonus: can’t drive to an air pump on a flat.

ok you can, but you’ll most likely ruin the tire and rim on the way, cancelling the need for air…

My car has one of those flex fuel capable engines; I could go across the street snd get some high proof liquor which should, in theory, get me to the nearest gas station.

I’ve never actually tried it, tho. Not sure how much would get me how far. 🤷‍♂️

With the air pump question; that’s why I have a portable air pump that I bought at one of the big car tool stores. It plugs into the car’s power outlet, and I just set the tire pressure and vola! But by then you still need to patch your tire if you have a flat, and depending on how you got your flat, you might have to replace the tire entirely.

True that, we have a portable air pump too 👍

You know what’s disappointing though? These days a number of newer vehicles are coming without the power outlet, and many of the ones that do still have it have reduced the fuse from 20 amps to 15 amps, because sMoKiNg bAd 4U!

As if that’s the only thing the power outlet is used for…

And an air pump will quickly pop a 15 amp fuse, they require a 20 amp fuse. 🤦

If this has escalated to an everyday consideration, you either are in very lean times or planning very poorly.
