Remember that the only way to lose weight is a calorie deficit. Not everyone’s journey to learning how to live in a calorie deficit looks the same.

Lowering my calories really was the only way for me to lose weight and keep it off. I’ve lost 40 pounds from it and it works. No special diet or anything just way less sugar and meat. Soda was the worst offender most likely for me

CICO all the way. And yeah, the trick is always figuring out what is sustainably doable long term. And that usually means lifestyle changes.

Very practical, actionable advice. It’s really astonishing that nobody has come up with that before now.

Your idea could end obesity completely. Frankly, you deserve the Nobel Prize in Medicine for your discovery.

From the 40’s through 80’s, approximately 15% of Americans were “overweight” (this metric included obese).

      Since then it’s about 35%.

So there’s more involved than just CICO or even just good calories. There is clearly a group of people who are genetically disposed to being overweight/obese.

The rest of us need to reign in our bad habits and get off our lazy asses (I’m mostly looking in the mirror as I say this, as I know how to eat better and exercise, I’m just not consistent).
