Okay, so I’m a “woman” (or that’s what I thought). I think a lot about what it would be like if I were a guy, and I even use “Marco” as my male name. I always feel feminine, but sometimes it’s more like a “femboy.” I wouldn’t mind taking testosterone or being called “Marco.”

The Gender Dysphoria Bible is commonly recommended reading.

You might also checkout these videos that help people examine whether they might be a trans man.

Basically nobody can tell you if you are trans or not, that’s something you have to examine for yourself.

However, I do think it’s important to educate yourself about trans people, what is involved in transition, and so on. Sometimes just reading trans narratives can be helpful, you might check out the graphic novel Welcome to St. Hell which is about a trans man’s experience, and We Both Laughed in Pleasure by Lou Sullivan.

Becoming a Visible Man by Jamison Green is also recommended reading for transmasc folks.

While Stone Butch Blues is often recommended, it can be a fairly difficult read and I’m not sure it’s the most supportive or even considered good representation. Might be good historical context for the future, but for now I would avoid it.

One thought experiment often posed to a trans person is: imagine there is a button that if you press it, you will wake up the opposite sex. Would you press the button?

Cis people don’t tend to question their gender, and they don’t tend to wish to be the opposite sex - these are strong signs you could be trans, and it’s worth seeking a trans-affirming therapist to help you through exploration and next steps.

EDIT: Also, wanted to mention there is a transmasculine community on Lemmy, too - at [email protected]
